Swinging Rope

I can feel my anger creeping upon me. It is like a swinging rope in my head begging for me to grab onto it. Once I grab ahold of it, the anger consumes my entire being until I let it get out. I go into a trance. Random objects are my enemies, like ants waiting to be destroyed. The rope swings higher and higher. More and more it tries to get out. I hold on tight to the rope and swing it so hard that I almost fall off.

Everything goes black.

Then I wake up. The anger is gone. All that is left is my body. Laying in the grass on the ground with the sun shining hot. One step closer. Days go by. Days without nights. Just hot burning sun and sweat. I walk towards a neighborhood and sneak into someone's backyard to take a sip of their hose. I hear a dog barking across the yard. He is chained to a tree. I walk just close enough to him that he can't bite me. Then we stare at each other without moving for what seems like eternity.

His eyes are deep black. So black. Like staring into the sky on a clear night. I reach over to pet his silky brown fur. He is panting now and has a smile on his face. I get closer and closer to his body. Then he grabs a hold of my arm with the quick turn of the head and clench of his teeth. He won't let go. He starts biting harder and harder. I pull away with all my strength trying to break free. He won't let go. I can feel his teeth reach the bone. I swing my arm like a rope back and forth back and forth shaking. His eyes have gone blank now. You can no longer see the stars. Blood, sweat, tears. Then all of a sudden everything goes black.

I wake up. The sun is still shining. There are no nights. The dog is licking himself peacefully.
